In 2013, Jen and fellow designer + friend Jeffrey Shipley founded TONIC SITE SHOP and launched their first collection of cocktail-inspired, "completely customizable websites for the modern, stylish creative." (Yep, there's a Martini, a Margarita, and French 75... her mother is still pretty sure she actually just owns a bar.)
Jen runs her business from her home outside Washington, D.C., where she lives with her handsome husband, their daughters Serena and Sofia, son Mason, Jaime the golden retriever, and a much-beloved espresso machine. She eats gluten so you don't have to, enjoys hosting and hospitality (with an old fashioned in hand!), and her love language is witty banter.
My average client invests between $20-40k in their brand + website design, and I've found I work best in a highly-collaborative "design intensive" process (typically taking place in person, preferably over a cocktail). I also offer brand consulting at a rate of $450/hr. As my friends can confirm, there's little more I enjoy than doling out strong opinions... in this case, about how best to improve and differentiate your brand/website to reach your ideal clientele.
Though my personal design style tends toward simple and editorial, my goal is disappear like a design chameleon into each project while maintaining consistently high aesthetic and strategic standard of work. My expertise lies in drawing on my background in journalism to develop a uniquely compelling brand narrative that visually articulates who my clients are at their best.
